My car had broken down off I-5 in Oceanside early one morning and had been towed by another AAA-affiliated towing company to the Pep Boys in Oceanside. Generally, when I call for AAA services lately, it takes at least an hour for someone to arrive, sometimes more, despite what the operators tell me. It just is what it is. It's annoying, but when you need roadside service and have no other choice, so be it. Bad news upon reaching Pep Boys (and waiting for the car to be seen): the car was not driveable, especially not back to UTC, where I live. After some back and forth phone calls with my boyfriend (and including having to renew our AAA membership, which we didn't realize had lapsed), we finally decided to have it towed back home and we would just eat the costs.
