Investing Coach | Forbes Contributor | CNN Pod Host on Instagram: "The Supreme Court heard oral arguments today on the two cases trying to block Biden’s plan to grant $20k of student loan forgiveness. (swipe left to see the memes that make themselves & Justice Sotomayor’s incredible speech from the bench- I thought it was Kagan speaking but it was our Latina Justice speaking up for us!) The arguments made by the state were downright embarrassing and I was glad to see that most of the justices were not buying that the state had standing to advocate on behalf of Mohela, the student loan provider. Mohela is not named in the lawsuit and they are not a party to this action. The state is claiming that they speak for Mohela but that’s not how the law works!! Mohela didn’t even want to hand over the documents the state asked for. The state had to compel them by filing a FOIA request. Embarrassing! We won’t have the decision for a few months. Maybe not until June.
